At the Strathcona Midwifery Collective, we extend our community involvement beyond our local networks!
We acknowledge our privilege and work towards decolonization and reconciliation in our communities and in our work. Our midwives work alongside community groups to support healing and structural changes in our health care system to creates space for individuals and communities to thrive. We support both local and international health initiatives through our Reproductive Justice fund.
Our commitment to care, community, and change includes a responsibility to the earth that we live on. We work hard to create a clinical space that treads lightly on the environment. This includes a dedication to recycling, composting and using environmentally friendly products, and being conscious of our water and energy consumption.
