I was born and raised in Germany, where I finished my training in 2010 and had the privilege to work in a birth centre supporting families choosing to birth out of hospital for 5 years. During this time I developed a deep trust in physiologic birth and learned how we as care providers can make a profound difference in how birthing people trust themselves, their strength and their instincts when it comes to pregnancy, birth and parenthood.

In 2015, during my own pregnancy, I moved to Vancouver and since birthed both of my babies with incredible midwives by my side here. In between having my own kids I finished the International Educated Midwives Bridging Program through UBC. I loved working alongside midwives from all over the world as that deepened my perspective that there is never just one right way of doing things.

Since 2020, I’ve been working in Vancouver at Pomegranate Community Midwives. I am thrilled to be starting a small team of two with Amy in January 2027.

I feel very privileged to be invited into families’ most vulnerable and life changing events while caring for you with mind, heart and hands.

“We want to thank-you so much for all your wisdom & encouragement through this beautiful journey we’ve been through...that’s just the beginning! We wanted to let you know, you two as a team very much compliment each other as you both have strengths in different areas and this was so helpful for us

Midwifery care in general is something we are so grateful for. It provided us with the kind of experience we hoped for, filled with compassion, knowledge and warmth.

This has been such an incredible experience for us and we now have this beautiful child, with him came a love so profound we couldn’t have imagined it.

So thanks again for all you do.”
