Construction on Georgia Viaduct

The city of Vancouver will be starting joint replacement work on the Georgia Viaduct beginning Fall 2026 until Spring 2027. This may impact your commute to our clinic. You can visit the City of Vancouver website for the most up to date information.

Construction from September 2026 until Spring 2027

Work Hours

Monday to Friday: 7am to 5pm, with extended hours as needed

During this work, expect:

• Reduced lanes and lower speeds on the viaduct

  • Eastbound lanes on the Georgia Viaduct will be reduced during repairs.

• Main Street off-ramp closed for approximately 2 months (timing to be determined)

• Pedestrian detours in the area

  • We’ll maintain pedestrian access for most of construction.

  • When work begins on the south side of the Georgia Viaduct, a sidewalk detour will be in place. Follow detour signs and use the Dunsmuir Viaduct during this time.

  • The Dunsmuir Viaduct bike lanes will remain open during construction.
